Welcome to the How to Create a HiSET® Exam Account video. This video is designed to assist test takers with registering for the HiSET® exam.

On-screen: [Acceptable ID documents include: Passport, Government-issued driver’s license or temporary license, State ID card (including those issued by the motor vehicle agencies), National ID card, Military ID card. Website: hiset.ets.org/take/id.]

When you create your HiSET® account, the name you use must exactly match – excluding accents – the name on your identification or ID documents that you will use on the day of your test at the test center. If it doesn't match, you may not be allowed to take the test or your scores may be canceled after you take the test. Review the acceptable ID documents on the HiSET® website.

As you enter your name, field requirements will pop up on the screen along with a reminder of the “Name you use to register” guidelines. Be sure to provide your entire first name, or given name, as it appears on your ID documents that you will present at the test center. Do not register under a nickname or with an initial as your first name.

If you have a two-part last name, be sure to supply your complete last name as it appears on the ID documents (excluding accents). For example, the last name of Fernandez (space) de (space) Córdova (with an accent on the first o) would be entered as Fernandez (space) de (space) Cordova with no accent.
